On July 9, 2013, Kirkwood Community College’s Apple Authorized Campus Store, EagleTech, became an Apple Authorized Commercial Service Provider. This means EagleTech may now service iPads and Macs for the public. “This type of service is not typically something a campus store would be afforded,” Director of Retail Operations, Julie Copeland asserts. “Based on our customer feedback, service numbers, store sales and corporate visits from Apple representatives, we were granted this authorization as an exception.”

The store also offers learning opportunities through the college’s summer semester for new iPad users, called “Tablet Tuesdays.” These half-hour workshops take place every Tuesday from 11-11:30 a.m. in their Land & Learn area. The mini classes cover basic iPad training, navigation and gestures, in addition to featuring a different app each class. No sign-up is required, and all of EagleTech’s learning opportunities are free and open to the public.

To have your iPad or Mac serviced, or to attend a workshop, visit EagleTech in Kirkwood Community College’s Cedar Rapids campus in Benton Hall. For more information, call 319-398-5415.
