Kirkwood to host Krishna Das February 7

Krishna Das, foreign services specialist with the U.S. State Department, will be at the Kirkwood Iowa City Campus Commons from 10:10-11:05 a.m., Friday, February 7, promoting careers within U.S. State Department.  Das is currently stationed in Baghdad, where he monitors Iraq’s external relations with its neighbors.  His previous international posts have been in Bahrain, a small island country in the Persian Gulf, and South Africa.

Das received his MA from the College of Education at the University of Iowa in 2000.  Along with Professor Paul Retish, Das co-founded the International Day for Human Rights, a conference-like opportunity for middle school students. Originally from Mumbai, Das fondly calls Iowa City his true home.
