Speakers Series Focuses on Business Leadership

Cedar Rapids, Iowa (April 8, 2014)—A hall of fame racer, Super Bowl champion and an author comprise the 2014 Create Speaker Series at Kirkwood Community College. This three-part series regarding leadership begins Tuesday, April 15, at the Kirkwood Center.

Part one of the series features Formula 1 hall of fame racer and now television analyst, Derek Daly. Daly’s presentation draws parallels from his racing team’s success as an approach for businesses to model.

On Monday, May 19, former NFL player and Air Force pilot, Chad Hennings, offers insight for achieving excellence. Using captivating antidotes from his life experiences, Hennings challenges business to revolutionize its thinking by placing excellence and leadership as a larger mission.

The final speaker of the series is Dr. Nate Booth, author of Thriving on Change: The Art of Using Change to Your Advantage and The Diamond Touch: How to Get What You Want by Giving Others What They Uniquely Desire. Booth provides practical strategies to offset the economic forces challenging today’s business environment. His presentation is Tuesday, June 3.
