“Night to Treasure” spotlighted more than 30 individuals and organizations

Kirkwood Community College once again embraced a long-held springtime tradition on April 24, showcasing student achievements and contributions to charities, service and quality of life.

Kirkwood’s 17th Annual Awards Banquet, “A Night to Treasure” was held at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center. The dinner and awards presentation honored 31 recipients for their participation and accomplishments in co-curricular activities on campus.

The awards recognized top-performing clubs and organizations, as well as individual accomplishments of athletic coaches, musicians and artists. Honors were also bestowed on leading faculty/staff advisors for their guidance of student organizations.

Student Life Associate Director Seth Vander Tuig noted the wide scope of volunteerism and involvement evident in the roster of awardees.

“Our awards banquet is always one of the highlights of the year. It’s nice to see the accomplishments and contributions we see from 80 organized groups and teams on our campus.
