Kirkwood Training and Outreach Services is showcasing classes from the Success Institute on Wednesday, October 29. The course is open to the public and focuses on small business strategies in the era of technology.

The preview event will cover shifts in traditional marketing approaches and how to benefit from them, the importance of connecting versus communicating, networking, and understanding the “one thing” concept. Alliant Energy President, Doug Kopp, is the keynote speaker.

Kirkwood intends to offer a series of classes for entrepreneurs and small business leaders. Theresa Bornbach, former business coach and owner of BizSAVVY, and currently business support strategist for the Cedar Rapids Metro Area Economic Alliance, designed the course framework along with a team, which included the Small Business Development Center as well as Kirkwood Training and Outreach Services.

The Success Institute is part of the Creative Corridor initiative and is sponsored by Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance, Iowa City Area Development Group, Marion Economic Development Company and the Marion Chamber.
