The Metro Library Network (Cedar Rapids-Marion-Hiawatha Public Libraries) will have a series of author events at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center. Between April and July, roughly two authors a month will be making the trek to Cedar Rapids to speak about and read from their books. It kicks off with Robin Hemley, director of the University of Iowa’s Nonfiction Writing Program. Included are a wide range of authors from James Rollins to Marc Brown. Nicolette Hahn Niman, author of the 2012 Linn Area Reads selection Righteous Porkchop, will also be featured.
