Yegge Notches 400th Win as Coach

Kirkwood Softball Head Coach Joe Yegge got his 400th career coaching win on Saturday, April 19, after winning the first game of a doubleheader versus North Iowa Area Community College by a score of 3-0.

The win is further proof of Yegge’s coaching prowess as The Kirkwood softball team under Yegge’s leadership has reached incredible heights and continues to do so. His teams have repeatedly finished among the best teams in the country year in and year out and this year is no different. Currently on a 23-game win streak, the Kirkwood Eagles softball team has an overall record of 46-5 including a 19-1 record at home.  In addition, they are ranked fourth in the nation.

Yegge followed up his 400th win with his 401st after the Eagles swept the doubleheader. The second game ended with Kirkwood winning 12-4 in 5 innings.

The Eagles look to continue their winning ways as they are wrap up the regular season and head to the regional tournament.
