Kirkwood Create Speaker Series Focuses on Workplace Culture

Cedar Rapids, Iowa (March 19, 2015)-The Kirkwood Continuing Education Create Speaker Series kicks off Friday, March 27, with former University of Nebraska football star and motivational speaker, Aaron Davis. Davis’ presentation will prepare professionals how to remain mentally tough in a competitive environment. The theme of this year’s Create Speaker Series is Building Workplace Culture in the Creative Corridor and is held at the Kirkwood Center, located at 7725 Kirkwood Blvd. SW in Cedar Rapids, from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Register online at www.kirkwood.edu/ce to attend all three speakers or to sign up for individual sessions.

Upcoming speakers include Chris Bashinelli, host of Bridge the Gap on PBS TV. On April 20, Bashinelli will encourage attendees to step outside of their comfort zone to learn about intercultural differences in the workplace and ways to improve work performance. Hannah Ubl will round out the series on May 13, offering valuable tips and actionable solutions for multigenerational workplaces including key strategies for marketing and reaching out to a more diverse client base.
