“Mission Unaccomplished” discussion set for 234 Cedar Hall

A guest lecturer will discuss United States foreign policy in a free program at Kirkwood Community College. Jeffery Laurenti, a senior policy advisor to the United Nations Foundation, and an expert on security issues, the drug trade, American foreign policy, economic sanctions, and the role of the United Nations, will be speaking at Kirkwood Thursday, Feb. 28. Laurenti will discuss the topic: “Mission Unaccomplished: America, the UN, and Iraq” in Cedar Hall 234 at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 28.

Laurenti’s presentation is sponsored on this campus by the United Nations Association Student Alliance and in Iowa by the Iowa Division United Nations Association. Social Science Adjunct Instructor Jeremy Brigham will introduce and moderate the program. Everyone is welcome to this free presentation.
