CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (February 16, 2015) – Kirkwood Community College will host the 2015 Beyond Rubies Women’s Conference on Thursday, March 5, and Friday, March 6, at The Kirkwood Center located at 7725 Kirkwood Boulevard in southwest Cedar Rapids.
This two-day conference will feature nationally recognized speakers on topics pertinent to today’s woman. Opening keynote speaker is Tami Evans who was recently on the Dr. Oz Show. Through humor, her presentation “When the Chick Hits the Fan – A Celebration of Women, Life, Love and Shoes,” is a comedic view into work/life balance. Friday’s keynote speaker is Gaye Hanson who also will deliver a humorous session focused on attitude in the face of life’s challenges with her presentation “Three Things You Can Do to Ignite Your Life Today.”
“Beyond Rubies is a networking conference for women of all generations and backgrounds to learn practical ideas on how to succeed while juggling complex and diverse life demands,” says Erin Brokel, program coordinator. Attendees may choose one day or both. Lunch is included both days.
