Kirkwood Holds Conference for EMS Providers

Cedar Rapids, Iowa (March 2, 2016)-The 31st annual Code 1 Conference for those providing emergency medical services (EMS) will be held Friday, March 11, and Saturday, March 12, at The Kirkwood Center. The event qualifies for continuing education hours.

Every EMS provider, including firefighters, police, public safety officers, nurses and respiratory therapists is invited to attend this two-day conference. Nationally recognized EMS educators Mike Grill, Gary Wiemokly, Kirk Mittelman and Bill Justice will share their knowledge from 135 years of combined experience.

Providers can learn about topics like new lifesaving techniques, concussion recognition, mass casualty choreography and chest trauma response. In addition to earning continuing education hours, Code 1 enables EMS providers to learn the most current emergency approaches and techniques, as well as networking.
