By March 6, 2013October 25th, 2018No Comments

What’s the 411 on Anna?: My hometown is Burlington, Iowa. I graduated from Burlington High School in 2012. I have two older brothers, Nick and Nathan, two younger, Will and Drew. (Yes, I am literally the Middle Sister!)

What did you do before coming to Kirkwood?: I was involved in high school sports, playing volleyball and basketball. I was also in our student council, Varsity Club and National Honor Society. I also worked at the Spirit Hollow Golf Course in Burlington.

What are you involved in at Kirkwood?: I am a Student Ambassador for Admissions, and also serve on the Student Leadership council. My work on campus is in the Allied Health office. I also enjoy playing Intramural sports. Some of my volunteer work included a highway cleanup day, plus various other volunteer time during the past year.

What about your studies?: I took a lot of science classes in high school and had thought of a medical career. After looking into it more I realized it wasn’t what I wanted to do the rest of my life. After talking with more people in different fields I realized that business is where I should be. I got focused on accounting in my senior year.

What are your plans after Kirkwood?: I’m currently a Pre-Business transfer student in my first year. I plan on transferring to the University of Iowa in the falloff 2013 and major in accounting.
