Media Students Earn State Project Honors

Awards from Iowa College Media Association reflect broad skills and talents

Kirkwood Community College students in the Communications Media and Public Relations programs garnered several awards at the recent annual conference of the annual Iowa College Media Association Conference. The early February program is held in conjunction with the Iowa Newspaper Association.

Kirkwood students came back with 11 individual and team awards. The Kirkwood Communique’ student newspaper earned nine awards and Kirkwood Student Productions electronic media students earned honors for two more projects.

The awards that were presented to Kirkwood Student Media were:
