Volleyball to Play for Regional Championship

Eagles face Iowa Central for spot in national tournament

Cedar Rapids, Iowa (Nov. 6, 2015)-The Kirkwood Community College volleyball team will play for a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XI-B championship on Saturday in Estherville, Iowa. The number two seeded Eagles will face the third-seeded Iowa Central Community College Tritons at 2 p.m.

Kirkwood, ranked 17th in the country, boasts a 27-15 overall record going 6-2 in regular season Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) games. Iowa Central went 22-13 and 6-2 in the ICCAC.

The winner will advance to the NJCAA Division II National Volleyball Tournament Nov. 19-21 in Phoenix, Ariz.
