CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Aug. 21, 2024)–The Hotel at Kirkwood Center is proud to announce that Director of Food & Beverage Kasi Tenborg Carroll has been named one of the Iowa Restaurant Association’s 2024 “40 Women to Watch” in Iowa’s hospitality industry. This prestigious recognition celebrates women who exemplify the diversity, dedication and leadership within the state’s hospitality sector.
Tenborg Carroll’s passion for the industry has led her through nearly every role within the field, from general manager to sous chef, and now as the director of food & beverage at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center, the state’s largest full-service teaching hotel.
“It has always been an act I have enjoyed, even on the hard days, sometimes more on the hard days,” said Tenborg Carroll. “I love the sense of pride that comes from serving people and creating experiences for guests.”
The Iowa Restaurant Association’s “40 Women to Watch” honors women across the state who have demonstrated a deep commitment to their customers, teams and businesses. Tenborg Carroll, along with the other honorees, will be recognized during the Annual Celebrating Excellence Awards Ceremony on Nov. 18, held in conjunction with the Iowa Hospitality Showcase.
