Kirkwood Student Production students will be televising the first ever live volleyball game at Kirkwood. The game will be broadcast Thursday night, Oct 1 at 6:30 p.m. on local cable services and The Kirkwood Channel.
This semester Joe Taylor, an adjunct instructor in the Communications Media/PR Program, is working with KSP students on producing sports programming. Taylor, a three-decade veteran of Kirkwood media a video services, is sharing his seasoned experience with college communications students.
The Eagles are taking on Mt. Mercy’s JV squad for the Thursday night contest. Kirkwood’s volleyball team is curently rated in the national Top Ten for the NJCAA Division II.
Kirkwood’s cable TV service is found on cable channel 11 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and several other eastern Iowa communities.
