For the second time since the doors opened in 2010, The Hotel at Kirkwood Center has earned the American Automobile Association’s (AAA) prestigious Four Diamond Award for lodging. AAA representatives will present The Hotel with the prestigious award Thursday, March 28, 2013 in the lobby of The Hotel at 3:30 p.m. The Hotel is one of only three hotels in Iowa to earn this superior designation for upscale amenities and high quality.

“Again in 2013, our amazing staff is being honored by this highly regarded award,” said Lee Belfield, general manager of The Hotel. “Our guests enjoy top-level service and our students are some of the best in the nation because of their commitment to excellence.”

According to AAA, a four diamond rating means the establishment is upscale in all areas. Accommodations are progressively more refined and stylish, and the physical attributes reflect an obvious enhanced level of quality throughout. The fundamental hallmarks at this level include an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail.

“While our external focus lies with exemplary guest experiences, internally The Hotel’s vision is to prepare the finest professionals to lead the global hospitality industry,” Belfield continued. “Through intense study, students learn best practices working alongside professional staff with years of industry experience.”
