Poet Richard Carr at Iowa City Campus, Feb. 19

The Kirkwood Coffee Talk Series welcomes Poet Richard Carr to the Kirkwood Community College Iowa City Campus Thursday, February 19, 7:30 p.m. in the Campus Commons on Lower Muscatine Drive. Carr will share readings from his work and share questions and commentary during the program.

Richard Carr grew up in Blue Earth, Minnesota, and now lives in Minneapolis. A former systems analyst, web designer, and tavern manager, Carr has taught writing and literature at several universities and community colleges. His books of poetry include Mister Martini, Honey, Street Portraits, and his latest work Ace, won the 2008 Washington Prize.

The event is free and open to the public.
