CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (June 6, 2016)-Kirkwood Head Golf Coach Darin Pint has been named the 2016 Dave Williams National Junior College Athletic Association Division II National Coach of the Year by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Pint will receive the award during the Hall of Fame Banquet at the GCAA National Convention on December 12.

Kirkwood sophomore Carson Whittington finished in second place individually at the national tournament after ending the 72-hole tournament at 6-under overall. Whittington was named first team All-American while freshmen Charlie Hartwig and Jordan Even earned second team All-American and honorable mention All-American honors respectively. Hartwig and Whittington were also named to the Ping All-West Region team.
