A veteran faculty member at Kirkwood Community College has been chosen for a nationwide professional leadership development post. Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Director Nicky Cline has been appointed to the Leadership Mentoring Fellowship Program of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Cline was one of only three community college educators chosen to the 16-person group for 2010. She will be part of an intensive program for advanced leadership development. According to the national organization, the year-long program “fosters the emergence of strong occupational therapy leaders within the academic community, while building the profession’s capacity to influence and lead.”
Cline and her other colleagues from around the nation will meet twice in person, plus conduct online sessions through the rest of 2010.
