Top horses from around the Midwest expected at free event, May 15-17
The Iowa Equestrian Center at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids is hosting one of its most popular events this weekend as The Great River Saddlebred Show comes to town.
The show begins on Friday, May 15, and concludes on Sunday, May 17, drawing from stables across the region that own world champion horses. It’s one of the most well-attended shows held at The Iowa Equestrian Center every year.
The main performance will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. Other designated show times are Friday at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., Saturday at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., and 6 p.m., and Sunday at 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Approximately 200 horses are expected to participate.
