Kirkwood Creates Two Flood Relief Funds

In response to the flooding disaster in eastern Iowa, the Kirkwood Community College Foundation has established two charitable funds to aid in recovery. The funds are in response to many offers of assistance.

The “Friends of the Animal Shelter Fund” will receive contributions from the public to assist with the costs of caring for rescued pets, and the “Kirkwood Community College Flood Relief Fund” will accept gifts from Kirkwood friends to provide aid to students and employees adversely affected by flooding in the seven county region.

Friends of the Animal Shelter Fund
Kirkwood will shelter an estimated 1,000 animals displaced by flooding in the Cedar Rapids area. The Kirkwood Foundation has created a special fund to accept monetary donations from individuals who wish to help care for these displaced pets.

Kirkwood Community College Flood Relief Fund
The Kirkwood Foundation has created a flood relief fund to assist Kirkwood students and employees who have been adversely affected by recent flooding throughout our seven county area.
