441 requests from needy children were met through the Kirkwood community’s generosity

Each year the Kirkwood community participates in the Tanager Place Angel Tag campaign, purchasing gifts for area young people in need. This year, Kirkwood set a record for filling more present requests in one year, than any organization ever has. The generosity of the Kirkwood community helped fill 441 tags, with requests from local children and young adults.

Lezlie John, community relations director from Tanager, sent her thanks, “Working with Kirkwood Community College is the highlight of my holiday season here at Tanager Place. Each year, I am amazed at the commitment the employees and students give to our community’s children. This is the most tags, any one organization or company has ever filled while the program has been in existence at Tanager Place. Thank You Kirkwood Community College for your ongoing support of this program and for caring about the children we serve.”

Thanks to all of those who help make Kirkwood a great institution.
