The annual Kirkwood Student Art Exhibit is now showing in the Iowa Hall Gallery on Kirkwood Community College’s main campus. The works of several dozen students are showcased in the gallery and extend into Nielsen Hall.
The exhibit features more than 100 student drawings, paintings, digital media, photography, glass, ceramics and sculptures, in a variety of styles.
“The quality of work is excellent and gives these students a great foundation for moving forward with transfer options, professional quality work and personal fulfillment,” said Art Instructor Arbe Bareis. “The diversity of artwork goes to show the wide-array of styles and processes Kirkwood’s instructors help bring out of their students.”
The exhibit runs through Friday, May 3, with a reception on Thursday, May 2, at 11 a.m.
The Iowa Hall Gallery is free and open to the public on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 1-2 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 2-5 p.m
