The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference has named Beth Ripperger of Kirkwood Community College as its D-II Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
Ripperger is a second-year libero from Knoxville, Iowa. She has achieved All-Academic First Team honors and voted 2008 Eagles Volleyball Team Captain. At the recent Molten Classic Tournament Ripperger averaged 1.56 digs and .25 assists per game. She passed a 2.3 serve receive on a 3-point scale.
While quite active in her sport, Ripperger has maintained a 3.8 grade point average. She plans to transfer to a four-year college and complete her Liberal Arts studies.
