Heritage Agency seeks nominations for Recognition of Service; March 7 deadline
Nominations are now being sought by the Heritage Area Agency on Aging for the 2008 Recognition of Service Awards for Excellence in Service to Seniors. Awards will be presented to individuals who excel in the categories of: Outstanding Senior Volunteer and Outstanding Elected Public Official.
Awards will also be given for excellence in service in four additional categories: Program or Project–Service to Seniors; Outstanding Business and Aging Partnership; Outstanding Initiative in Healthy Aging; and Outstanding Initiative in Aging.
All nominees must be residents of or members of organizations located in these counties: Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn or Washington. The awards will be presented at a ceremony to be held in May. Nominations are due at the Heritage office Friday, March 7, 2008 by 5 p.m.
