A “blurry experience” paints a clear picture of risk
To emphasize the risks and dangers of drunk driving, Kirkwood Student Life will sponsor a DUI Simulator event. Students and staff can get a first-hand experience of the dangers of Driving Under the Influence of alcohol or other substances in front of Iowa Hall Wednesday, April 23 from 10 – 2 p.m.
Student Life Director Shirlee Tchiggfrie says the simulator gives a “pretty vivid picture” for those who try it out.
“There will be an actual vehicle used in the simulator. The process will take you on a virtual reality trip of how it feels to drive under the influence. Everyone can participate in this free program,” she added.
The Kirkwood Physical Therapy Assistants Club will also be selling walking tacos during the event, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. just outside Linn Hall.
