A recent awards program at Kirkwood Community College became a surprise family affair for Harleen Bott. The veteran Kirkwood Iowa County center director was honored with a Kirkwood Distinguished Service Award on Jan 18. The college presents these awards yearly for “above and beyond” dedication to the college and wider community.
Harleen was joined by her daughter, Janelle Roberts and grandsons Sam and Ben Roberts, all of Marengo. Kirkwood presents its annual staff and faculty awards as part of annual Martin Luther King Day programs.
