1992 graduate Renae Dohrer reaches 3 million consecutive accident-free miles

Cedar Rapids, Iowa (Nov. 23, 2015)-Kirkwood Truck Driving program graduate Renae Dohrer is being recognized by trucking company Covenant Transport for being the company’s first driver to achieve 3 million consecutive accident-free driving miles. Dohrer is the inaugural member of the Chattanooga, Tennessee company’s “120-Club” which means she has driven the equivalent of 120 accident-free trips around planet.

Dohrer, who graduated from Kirkwood in 1992, has never received a citation in her 23-year driving career. In addition, she has a Compliance, Safety and Accountability score of zero, which is the best score someone can receive.

Kirkwood Director of Transportation Greg Stewart knows Dohrer’s accomplishment is no small feat.

“This is a testament to Renae’s dedication and commitment to safety,” said Stewart. “It’s especially impressive when you consider that she is driving in a day and age where it’s more difficult because of all of the challenges professional drivers face on the road. We’re proud that she got her start here at Kirkwood.”

Dohrer was honored at a company ceremony on Monday, November 16, at the Covenant Transport headquarters in Chattanooga.
