Eagles have a chance at another national tournament berth
The Kirkwood women’s basketball team triumphed over Southeastern Community College by a score of 63-45 on Saturday in Keokuk. Southeastern, tournament semifinal and final hosts, were the five seed.
The Eagles move on to the championship game versus the three seeded Iowa Central Community College Tritons. The Tritons path to the regional finals started with an 80-49 opening round victory over Marshaltown. The team then followed it up with a tough 58-56 win over DMACC in the semifinals.
The championship game is at 3 p.m. on Saturday May, 9 with the winner advancing to the national tournament.
