What is your background?: I’m from Monticello, Iowa, and I am a senior at Monticello High School. I live with my mom Kerri and my brother Keaton.

What brought you to Kirkwood and why?: Monticello High School offers concurrent enrollment courses through the Jones County Regional Center, and taking courses is highly encouraged by their district. I wanted to take the Automotive Technology Academy because I plan to go to Kirkwood for the Auto Tech Program in the fall.

What is your program of study and what interests you about it?: Currently I’m in the Auto Tech Academy and I am very interested in working on vehicles as a career. I enjoy hands-on work.

Are you involved in anything on campus?: In addition to the Automotive Technology Academy, I am also part of the Student Ambassadors group at the Jones County Regional Center.

Are you involved in anything off campus?: I am in track, National Honor Society, Choir, Speech, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

What do you do for fun?: I like to run, work outside, ride my horse, hangout with friends, play guitar, line dance, and go to youth group.

Where do you see yourself in five years?: I see myself completing the Auto Tech program and becoming a mechanic somewhere new and exciting. I want to explore new areas and enjoy the college life with friends.
