What is your background?: I was born and raised in Cedar Rapids. I graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids. I have grown up with my three siblings, me being the second youngest, as well as our four dogs.
What brought you to Kirkwood and why?: My parents went to Kirkwood along with my older sister. I wanted to be close to home and I knew it was a good school.
What is your program of study and what interests you about it?: I am in the paramedic program. I love how every day is different and I get to make a difference in people’s lives.
Are you involved in anything on campus?: I am not, however I am an avid patron of the vending machines outside the sim center.
Are you involved in anything off campus?: I spend a lot of my time outside of school in my job at a local hospital or at clinicals for school. When I am not, I enjoy volunteering at my local high school and seeing my friends when our schedules allow.
What do you do for fun?: For fun I go on backpacking trips, read books, and cuddle my dog Rocket.
Where do you see yourself in five years?: In five years, I see myself working as a paramedic out west with warmer weather, maybe somewhere with mountains or closer to my sister.
