The Hotel at Kirkwood Center has again earned the American Automobile Association’s (AAA) prestigious Four Diamond Award for lodging. The Hotel is one of only three hotels in the entire state to earn this superior designation for upscale amenities and high quality.

“It’s wonderful that our hardworking staff are recognized with this honor,” said Lee Belfield, general manager of The Hotel. “Our guests enjoy top-level service because of their commitment to excellence.”

According to AAA, a four diamond rating means the establishment is upscale in all areas. Accommodations are progressively more refined and stylish, and the physical attributes reflect an obvious enhanced level of quality throughout. The fundamental hallmarks at this level include an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail. This is the third time The Hotel has earned this distinction.

Along with this and other prominent designations, The Hotel is the only luxury teaching hotel of its kind in the nation. “While our external focus lies with exemplary guest experiences, internally The Hotel’s vision is to prepare the finest professionals to lead the global hospitality industry,” Belfield continued. “Through intense study, students learn best practices working alongside professional staff with years of industry experience.”

Since it opened in 2010, The Hotel also joined Summit Hotels and Resorts, a collection of more than 150 internationally acclaimed hotels and resorts that celebrate local luxury. The Summit brand is part of the 800-plus hotels and resorts in the Preferred Hotels Group.
