By April 13, 2018October 25th, 2018No Comments

What is your background?: I am from Davenport, Iowa and I went to Davenport West High school. My mom is from Solon and my dad is from Moline, Illinois. I have a brother, Jacob, who lives in Cedar Rapids with his wife Anna.

What brought you to Kirkwood and why?: I came to Kirkwood because I was given the opportunity to play softball here for Coach Yegge. It’s a great program to be a part of and coming to Kirkwood is a great way to save money as I prepare for my future.

What is your program of Study and what interests you about it?: I am at Kirkwood to get an AA degree. I plan to transfer to become a special education teacher and then get into a graduate program to become a speech pathologist. I am interested in this field because it allows me to work with kids and help them to become better prepared for their own futures. This is a rewarding field that will bring something new to me everyday.

Are you involved in anything else on campus? If so what and why?: I am on the softball team here at Kirkwood. Being on this team has made me feel at home at Kirkwood because we are all family. Softball has brought me many opportunities and memories this far and I know there are even more to come. We are ranked 3rd in the nation and have high hopes for the end of our season. GO EAGLES!

Are you involved in anything off campus?: I am an employee at Hy-Vee and I participate in church events.

What do you do for fun?: I love to listen to music, to hang out with friends, and to go camping and hiking in northeastern Iowa.

Where do you see yourself in five years?: I see myself living in an apartment in Davenport with a job that will hopefully also allow me to coach softball. I want to have a dog and travel while I am young before starting a family.
