Kirkwood Hosts the 2015 Safety and Health Conference

Cedar Rapids, Iowa (February 5, 2015)–Kirkwood Community College will host the fourth annual East Central Iowa Safety and Health Conference on Thursday, February 26, at The Kirkwood Center located at 7725 Kirkwood Boulevard in southwest Cedar Rapids. Registration and an early bird session will run from 7:30 to 9 a.m. The programs will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with lunch included.

This one-day event is dedicated to meeting the safety and health training needs of business and industry, featuring keynote and breakout sessions with speakers from business, contractor, education and health care industries. A vendor expo featuring the latest products and services in health and safety will be available to conference attendees.

Keynote speaker is Billy Robbins, a survivor of a high-voltage accident that resulted in the amputation of both his hands. Robbins’ “Hooked On Safety®” presentation is a unique, behavioral based, fast paced, highly motivational safety presentation. He is internationally recognized and considered to be the foremost motivational safety speaker in the country.
